Hot off the Press: WSG’s Italian Wine Scholar Manual... Unit 1!

After almost a year of intensive research and development,we are proud to announce the launch of what is the most advanced and comprehensive Italian wine study program currently on the market. The WSG’s Italian Wine Scholar® Unit 1 Study Manual has been sent to over 50 expert instructors around the world and we are delighted with the feedback from the wine scholar community.
Unit 1 of the IWS program will become widely available as of May 2016 and comes with a state-of-the-art online study program. The first in-classroom sessions will be offered in September 2016 at a wine school near you.

Maurizio Broggi (WSG Education Director for Italy) has been very busy this past year. In addition to directing the WSG’s Italian Wine Scholar program, Maurizio was just awarded the Napa Valley Vintners Scholarship for being one of the top 2015 WSET Diploma scorers in North America! He also was WSET Advanced Top World Scorer 2013, Level 2 Top Scorer 2013.

One Château d’Esclans Scholarship is available for our June 2016 Provence Study Trip (a $3,795 value)!
Who can participate? This scholarship opportunity is open to all wine professionals around the world who wish to gain a deeper understanding of this exciting, sun-drenched wine region.
Application & Selection: Submit your resumé or bio accompanied by a 500- to 700-word essay explaining your motivations and how you believe you could make use of the knowledge you would acquire as a result of this advanced study trip to Provence. Submissions must be received via email by noon PST on Friday, February 26th, 2016 via our Online Submission Page.
French Wine Scholar Update:

The French Wine Scholar® study and certification program provides current, accurate and in-depth information on the wines and wine regions of France. Upcoming French Wine Scholar sessions are currently scheduled at approved program providers around the world: United States, Canada, South America, Asia, Europe and Australia.
