If you're looking to bolster your knowledge of French wine, then look no further. The information is presented with a historical background that ties into the learning and makes it both interesting and fun. The French Wine Scholar manual could easily serve as the most up to date and accurate reference on the wines of France.

The French Wine Scholar study manual is really terrific! You should be really proud of it. I have learned six dozens things from it… As a matter of fact, I’m including many of the things I learned into my own presentations on France. I can’t wait to pass the exam and teach the program to our staff.

We are excited to launch the French Wine Scholar program, which is the first of its kind in the US. It provides the student with the most comprehensive and in-depth look at all of France on an advanced level.

The French Wine Scholar program, and all of the programs offered by the Wine Scholar Guild, is the best, most comprehensive course of study for French wine, bar none. The program is well thought out and presented. Anyone wanting to learn about French wines needs to take this program; there is no better program out there.

The FWS Program is a very in-depth serious program for the wine professional or enthusiast. There is no other program like it and attaining the qualification should be a highly recognized achievement.

The program is excellent. It differs in format from many classes taught in that there is a real effort to give context to the regions through discussion of history as well as soils, topography, climate and grapes from each region. The class is not producer driven, but is terroir driven, and teaches students about France as a whole as well as the specific regions.

The online academy reinforced the study guide and added another perspective to my study plan. I felt as though the study guide and the online academy complemented each other in a way that made it easier to learn: if you are a visual person, the book covered everything. If you are an aural person, the online modules worked well.

The manual is very well laid out with pertinent information that goes beautifully hand in hand with the online program. It has given me a new appreciation and understanding of French wine. In fact, I am trying to use the information not only in my profession, but to add to my tasting experiences as well by purchasing a bottle from as many of the different AOC\'s as well! An excellent learning tool through and through.<br />For anyone wanted to start a base knowledge and work their way to a rather thorough understanding of French wine and its laws, AOC\'s and characteristics of the wines themselves, this course has it all. Highly recommended for both newcomers and well seasoned wine students alike.

The Wine Scholar Guild has done an excellent job of creating a study program that appeals to those interested in expanding their knowledge of France and its wine industry. In depth, comprehensive, specific, this course was more detail than anticipated and a lot of fun! If you are a wine professional looking to hone your \"Franco-files\" or an avid wine enthusiast who wants to geek out a bit, this course is highly recommended.

Approachable, yet complex. The FWS program provides a foundation of knowledge that is both challenging and practical. The book helps make the connection between history, soil, and grapes; which is essential in understanding French wine.

The FWS program is an excellent program for the seasoned industry veteran as well as someone who is just learning about wine. The information is presented in a logical and well thought out way...it allows the student to build layer upon layer of information to their knowledge base. The material and maps help to give the student a better understanding of how important terrior is to the taste, style, and quality of wine.

This was the comprehensive study of French wine that I was hoping for. It is assuredly not for beginners, but if you have a basic education in the subject, and viticulture and viniculture in general, then I recommend this course highly if you seek to take your knowledge of French wine to the next level. The focus on geography, topography, and terroir, as well as grape varieties and even history, in giving each of the French wine regions its particular character, was spot on.
