Unbox the 360 sherry wine experience with The House of Lustau!

The CSWS® education program is designed to take the diversity and versatility of sherry wines to the student. Wines to be tasted have been selected by WSG and The House of Lustau educator, Lucas Payà to enable students to understand the wide variety of Sherry styles.

The box is the perfect format to keep the experience alive, even after the course. The pack includes six 375ml bottles of Lustau sherry wines.

The box includes the following wines:

    • Lustau Fino Jarana: Bright pale straw color with greenish reflections. This is the style of Fino made in Jerez de la Frontera: fresh, full of notes almonds and bread dough notes. Dry and crisp.
    • Lustau Fino del Puerto: Pale straw color. A coastal tasting wine. Very dry. This Fino is exclusively aged in el Puerto de Santa María, by the Atlantic Ocean. Very briny, fresh, and classy.
    • Lustau Manzanilla Papirusa: Bright yellow color. This Manzanilla is laced with sea breeze scents and pleasant chamomile and yeasty (flor) aromas. Bone dry and light. The perfect expression from Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

Additionally, two other dry styles of sherry wines, Amontillado and Oloroso, are included, both of which have been exposed to oxygen at different stages of production and aged in Jerez de la Frontera. The two styles also are aged for different lengths of time.

    • Lustau Amontillado Los Arcos: This dry Amontillado gets a genuine, rich, and nutty flavor through years of aging. Amber in color with hazelnut aromas on the nose. Light and soft on the palate.
    • Lustau Oloroso Don Nuño: Dark bronze color. Walnuts and chocolate aromas with a smoky wood background. This Oloroso wine has an intense, round palate.

Finally, there is a bottle of an exceptionally sweet sherry produced from sun-dried Pedro Ximénez grapes.

    • Lustau Pedro Ximénez San Emilio: Ebony in color. Its aromas are reminiscent of figs, chocolate, and coffee. Sweet, velvety and with a lovely acidity that balances the wine on the palate.

Following a little research i have been able to source the 6 sherries in the UK - 4 via Decantalo and 2 via Amazon - full bottles of each except the PX which is a 37.5cl

It is more expensive than the box described above but those are all 1/2 bottles but i have order them as shown below

Fino Jarana, Manzanilla Papirusa, Oloroso Don Nuño, Lustau Pedro Ximénez San Emilio + Shipping of £9.91 - Total of £71.98 from Decantalo
      Amazon - Lustau Los Arcos, 75 cl - £18.25 & Lustau Fino Del Puerto - 75cl - £17.99 - no shipping charges

If these are acceptable i would love to book this course for June

      Hello
      I'm Hyeong Woo Oh
I saw the announcement about Sherry's program.
Only people living in the United States can take the course?
I am teaching FWS, IWS, and SWS programs in Korea. If I take the Sherry program, I would be able to teach the Sherry program in Korea

      Best Regards

This course needs to be made available to all members worldwide. I am based in England and would definitely sign up and source sherries locally!

Another echo, from Europe, this time from the Netherlands.

I am also very interested in taking this course and in less than 5 minutes I found all six sherries for almost the same prize (the bottles are sometimes bigger, but I don't think that's a problem since I bought the Corovin last year for a great prize thanks to WSG ;).

It would be great if we, people outside the USA, could participate.

As per other comments below - I am based in the UK and very interested in this
Being that sherry is made in Europe i would have thought it possible to deliver here

In a short period of time i have been able to trace all 6 sherries listed above for reasonable prices although greater than the curated box listed above but not by much.

Please let us know if you can make it possible by this route where we source the sherries ourselves - i was able to find 5 out of 6 in one location alone.

      Thanks

I echo Marion's comment - the classes are run online and Lustau sherries are available in the UK, so why are we excluded from the course? Surely it enhances the credibility of the qualification if it is available more widely.

Hi - would love to take this class, as Rick already had informed during our SWS class, that it is to come.

So it is not possible to take the class in Europe? Lustau is Europe based, so that should not really cause such a big problem - should it?

      Thanks for getting back!

I would be very interested in taking this course once it becomes available to Canadian residents. I live in Alberta and have access to the following Lustau sherries: Fino Jarana, Manzanilla Papirusa, Amontillado Los Arcos, Oloroso Don Nuño, Pedro Ximénez San Emilio. The only one that is missing is the Fino del Puerto. Is there any way that I can register for this course?
