''My enthusiasm for wine began years ago in college. I have been a life-long student of wine, especially those of Bordeaux.
For me, the study of wines ties together the disciplines of chemistry, agriculture, cooking, geology, and history. I love the fact that, although one can learn many aspects about wine, there are always new dimensions to explore.
My master-level studies forced me to explore in some depth topics that I had not concentrated on in my independent studies. I appreciate this “rounding out” of my knowledge of Bordeaux. Also, the studies provided new foundations in which to understand concepts of terroir and philosophy of wine-making. Thank you!''
