I started working as a sommelier in 2011 and since that time so much focus and attention has been brought to one of the greatest jobs in the world. My goal is to craft an engaging and open-minded wine list that instantly gives you a sense of the food. I truly enjoy creating an environment where great service, food and wine are a daily celebration and guests can get on with the business of having a great meal.
The Champagne ML program was outstanding! The professionals that you have teaching are the leaders in their fields. I found it very beneficial to be able to download the materials (love the 2 slides per page format) as well as the audio version of the webinars. The quizzes are helpful too!
I am a WSET Diploma graduate, Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, and Certified California Wine Appellation Specialist.
Certification is important to establish credibility in a profession that can be viewed as job where you drink all day. But certification is by no means a prerequisite to being a good sommelier. The Champagne Master-Level program offered me the opportunity to dig deeper into a region and wine style that I am passionate about. It helped to broaden my knowledge, making me better equipped to enhance a guests experience. Champagne is one of the greatest food companions that has yet to be fully embraced by the public. I want to shout for the rooftops-Drink more Champagne! It’s the perfect dinner guest!’’
