Congratulations to Lynn Larson-Greene for passing the Champagne Master-Level exam with the highest honors.

About Lynn:

‘’As a wine enthusiast, I love how wine intersects with so many areas - world history, geography, culture, cuisine, lifestyle to name a few.  And by studying wine, it greatly expands on one’s knowledge of all of these, as well as enhancing appreciation of wine.  It is fascinating to learn everything that goes into a bottle of wine, not just in the current market, but how so many varied forces have shaped (and continue to shape) what wine is today and how it came to be.  It is a subject of endless fascination that can really be enjoyed on so many different levels.

I’ve taken WSET Intermediate and Advanced (both passed with Distinction) as well as Level 1 of Court of Master Sommeliers and am a Certified Specialist of Wine.  I’ve also taken the core FWS program and Master Level Sud de France, Rhone and Burgundy courses (all passed with 90+ scores).  The Champagne ML program gave me a great depth of knowledge that you don’t get in the other courses.  The other courses do teach you the basics, of course, but this program lets you get in depth with the subject.

I always enjoyed champagne before this course, but the greater in-depth understanding I’ve gained has given me a new appreciation for both what is in the bottle and the region is comes from.’’
