Congratulations to Andrew Belcher, FWS, for having passed the French Wine Scholar exam with the highest honors with the West London Wine School in United Kingdom!

About Andrew:

''I am a wine enthusiast. My first real introduction to French wines was all those years ago at University through the wines of Chablis and Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie. Today I enjoy tasting wines not only from all the regions across the globe, but also those from the less well known areas of France and Italy.

My last visit to a wine area was in the winter months to Chablis and then back home through the Champagne region. Visiting these areas at different times of the year adds a new dimension to learning about wines.

At the end of 2015 I passed the WSET Diploma. The FWS allowed me to continue my wine studies by focusing on one country, to learn more about the less common areas such as Savoie and also to get exposed to wines that are less common in the UK market.

I have recently signed up to the Champagne Master Level program.

Having the FWS program in the classroom, I certainly look forward to the Italian course in due course in West London Wine School.''
