Congratulations to Angeline Chang, FWS, for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with highest honors with the Lim Hwee Peng School of Wine, Singapore.

    About Angeline

We started my wine journey from enjoying to collecting to studying wine. My hubby and I have always enjoyed wines and have been visiting vineyards from Napa Valley, Yarra Valley, Stellenbosch, Bordeaux to Burgundy and more. We have a strong liking for French wines for its history, terrior, wine making techniques and its worth. Our collection started in 2015 and to date, we have more than 3000 bottles from our favorite wine makers.

3 years ago, we decided to expand our wine knowledge. We signed up for WSET level 2 to have a better foundation on our wine knowledge. Shortly after passing that, we embarked on WSET level 3 to further solidly our learning.  Thereafter, we decided on French Wine Scholar as most of our wine collection is French wines. So we ought to have a more in-depth understanding of them.

    My other certifications include:

    WSET 2 with Merit
    WSET 3 with Merit
    FWS with highest Honours

We just signed up for WSET 4 diploma with a wine school in Hong Kong and will consider more wine studies to solidify our love for wines. It is a life long journey.

The FWS program has made us understand the wines from scratch, the differences and importance from grapes to soil, terroir to maker. It has also equipped us with more knowledge to describe our wines better to like minded friends and influence them to join us in our favoured hobby. We also love how the Wine Scholar Guild has continued to engage us even upon completion of the course. The next thing that we are looking forward to is to join one of your well organized wine tours to mingle and share with other wine enthusiasts.
