Congratulations to Annie Wang, FWS, for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with highest honors with AWSEC, Hong Kong!

About Annie:

You gotta love wine for you to learn something about it right? I love wine that is for sure. Not a huge drinker though.

I don’t know just as a general rule you kind of always start with old world, so FWS is a great way to begin. At least something I’m more familiar with. And I think a good stepping stone to IWS.

I’ve taken WSET Level 2 & 3 in wines and spirits back in 2016 when I was in college. Thought it will be a good chance to learn something new and perhaps use that to test what I learnt over the years. Thinking of taking WSET Level 4 this year. I think FWS should help greatly on this. Fingers crossed that I can put IWS in between somewhere during the 2yrs of study.  Also interested in the advanced level in individual regions. I never thought areas like Provence can get so complicated.

I love the course. A great way to see what you don’t know. Say Bordeaux, apart from Left and Right bank, not much else that you actually know about the region.
