About Chang Ching:
I am a wine enthusiast and also a wine blogger and youtuber from Taiwan. I have a wide range in taste, and with such vast selections from all over the world, I love trying different wines from each country and region, in particular, French and Italian wines are among my favorites. I regularly participate in blind tasting to train my palate, but since I am exposed to a wide selection of wines, understanding the full-story, beyond just the taste, is very important to me as well, and that’s why I chose French Wine Scholar courses to further my knowledge and expertise.
Currently, the Wine Certification Programs that I have passed include the WSET level 3 and FWS courses. I am preparing for the Champagne Master-Level Program exam, which I hope to complete by the end of this year or early next year.
FWS is a very practical course, it provides a systematic way for me to understand the terroir and characteristics of each production region, and allows me to have a deeper understanding of each AOC in France. This is not only helpful when shopping and recommending wine, but also just building up general knowledge about French wine. Therefore, this course is not just suitable for wine professionals, but anyone who just simply enjoys French wine.
