About Don:
"I am a wine enthusiast and I enjoy traveling to wine regions around the world. I have enjoyed and wanted to learn more about wine since my first trips to France and Italy in 1974.
I own a wine tour company in Seattle that focuses on providing wine tasting experiences that are both very informative and fun. I have plans for small International tours to France’s many wine regions and as well some of the other wine regions in the world.
I have taken many classes at NW Wine Academy, including semesters of: “Wines of the World”, Sensory, History of WA Wines, Advanced Wines of the World, Food and Wine Pairing, I, II, II, plus Wine and Cheese pairing, Desert and Wine pairing, Everything but Wine and Food Pairing, to name a few. I have also attended many seminars on wine from experts, MS and MW’s speaking on wines from Argentina, France, Spain, Italy etc. I will continue to take classes and attend seminars for fun and for the educational benefits for myself and my business.
I have a level 1 Sommeliers certificate. I think the FWS was an excellent complement to the court of Master Sommeliers programs. I would like to see more questions on wine styles? I plan to take the level 2 Sommeliers exam in the next year.
This was a great program, which can only help me in my studies. This additional information can only further enhance what information I can provide to my clients.
I hope to enroll in the fall in some additional programs, possibly the Italian Wine scholar program and or other classes at NW wine academy. I may also take the advanced WSET exam
It helps me to indulge in my passion for wine, but it also adds to the success of my business by providing me with additional credentials to further distinguish myself from my competitors."
