Congratulations to Elizabeth Tsai, FWS, for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with highest honors!

About Elizabeth:

I’ve been working in the restaurant industry for over 15 years and have always had a passion for wine.  I’m constantly aware of my limited wine knowledge and always wanted to learn more. Thanks to COVID, I got a chance to take a break from work and immediately took the opportunity to join the program.  FWS opened my eyes to a whole new world of the colorful history, geology, and viticulture of wine.  My eagerness to learn lead me to the Spanish Wine Scholar program and going to class has never been more fun.  Not only can FWS bring tremendous value to myself and to my company but I’m also aspired and looking for other opportunities in this industry.

I passed my WSET 2 with Distinction in November 2020 and FWS in April 2021.  I’m now working on SWS and would like to continue my study on IWS and WSET 3 one step at a time.  Getting the certifications gave me confidence in training my crew and also the passion to share what I learned with others.  I believe sharing is caring and there is always something to discover in every bottle of wine.
