Congratulations to Gonzalo Adolfo Ríos, FWS for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with the highest honors with the San Francisco Wine School!

ABOUT GONZALO:

''I love French culture in general and French wine in particular.  Every day after a French Wine Scholar class, I would go to Kermit Lynch in Berkeley to explore the region we had just covered and to take a few bottles home for research.  This study has benefited me in the restaurant environment where I have been a server for a few years now.  I hope to one day work in a café or wine shop in Paris.

The French Wine Scholar was my first wine certification program.  I plan to eventually take the Italian & Spanish Wine Scholar programs and the California Appellation course.

The French Wine Scholar program can only strengthen my standing as a French wine enthusiast and aspiring sommelier particularly when my travels take me back to France.''
