Congratulations to Jim Bushee, FWS for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with highest honors !

About Jim:

"I am a wine enthusiast, and I developed a passion for wine during my travels to Tuscany, Bordeaux and Bourgogne. During those travels I came to appreciate the rich history associated with viticulture, particularly given my family’s roots in Basse Normandie, and also enjoyed the opportunity to utilize the French language skills that I learned at the Alliance Française. Those experiences led me to hosting numerous wine-paired dinners and wine tastings for my clients and professional colleagues, where I could share my passion for fine wines. That, in turn, prompted me to seek a more formal wine education. I have been encouraged by my wife who, while not interested in formal wine studies, is always enthusiastic about the tastings.

The FWS program was my first formal wine class. The program was extraordinarily helpful in providing a broader context and expanding on my earlier informal studies. Given the value and enjoyment provided by the FWS program I have enrolled in the Burgundy Master-level program, and anticipate taking additional Masters-level programs.

The FWS program has provided a solid base for further wine studies and enhanced my overall appreciation of wine. Additionally, I plan to retire from the practice of law at the end of this year and the FWS credential will facilitate my post-retirement plans to provide practical wine education and tasting experiences for business professionals."
