About Kazuaki:
I have loved drinking wine for as long as I can remember, so having spent majority of my career in the financial industry I decided to take the jump to move into the alternative investment space and started working for Cult Wines, leaders in fine wine investment, with over USD320m of client assets under management.
My day-to-day role involves meeting people from all walks of life but all with one common passion… wine! My role requires me to have a broad understanding and appreciation of investment grade wines and as such I am always open to trying out new wines from regions I have not tasted previously.
I am WSET Level 1-3 (Wines & Spirits) qualified as well as having passed my WSG FWS module with Highest Honours. I enjoyed the WSG course so much that I am currently enrolled under IWS Part 1 as well as studying for the Loire Master Level course.
The FWS course was absolutely what I needed in order to broaden my knowledge of the French wine regions. As a fine wine investment specialist we tend to focus primarily on Burgundy, Bordeaux and Champagne plus a little bit of Rhone, so the course enabled me to study and understand more of the other wine regions such as Jura and Loire.
In addition to reading up on the wines from all the regions it was very interesting and helpful to understand the history and culture of each region. Absolutely fascinating!
