About Mia:
Oh yes, I am a wine enthusiast! I don´t know when it began, but I think it was a visit in Tuscany. So, I wanted to learn more. Why a wine tastes like it does. For me it is not just a glass of wine, it is so much more - terroir, culture, tradition, history and craftsmanship.
10 years ago, I took my Sommelier exam. 2016 I did the WEST 3 and Pass with Distinction. And now FWS. It was a great way to repeat my former studies but also such joy to deepen my knowledge. I loved the classroom discussions and the wine tastings. If I had taken an online class I would have missed the opportunity to try so many diverse wines. We tasted at least 12 different wines every time we met.
Right now, I want to digest my new knowledge and let it sink in so it will stay in my head. In the future I probably will do the Spanish Wine Scholar.
I think this is a good way to learn. It is inspiriting to have classmates and it pushes you to do your study. I´m a competitive person so for me - I set up a goal and I want to achieve it. Now when I have my new knowledge the plan is to visit France as much as I can – Stockholm isn’t that far away. So yes, this program will help me enjoy drinking wine even more in the future
