About Patric:
I have worked as a sommelier at several different restaurants in recent years with responsibility for wine lists and wine purchases. Today, along with some other wine lovers, I run a wine bar called Vinoteket Lothar in Västerås, Sweden.
I have been interested in wine for many years, but also beer and all kinds of spirits are of interest. Everything from how soil affects the grapes to the manufacturing and maturation process. And to taste the delights of course.
My sommelier certification was done at the Restaurant Academy in Sweden where WSET Level 2 and Level 3 in Wines and Spirits was included in the education.
I also managed to pass the tests for the Certified Court of Master Sommlier at Scandinavian Wine Academy.
In the future there are thoughts about WSET Diploma Level 4 or Advanced CMS. Whichever route I choose, my FWS training will be a very good base as it is so deep and thorough at all levels. A perfect deep diving in all that is worth knowing about French wines.
Obviously, I will attend the WSG Italian- and Spanish Wine Scholar Study & Certification Programs if they become available to us here in Sweden. A really great way to acquire knowledge in an educational and interesting way.
