About Peter:
I wouldn't claim to be a wine professional at the moment as that's still a long run to go, wines are always here to surprise us with its unique style, new winemaking techniques and beautifully undiscovered terriors. Certainly I am a true wine enthusiast, despite I am a bartender. With less than 2 years working experience after my graduation in the UK, I have been fascinated by spirits and wines. Although making cocktails is my basic routine but wines are the alcohol that I always prefer during any occasions. I love wines, I have been perusing professional wine recognitions. With all the highly-recognised wine certificates especially the FWS, during my work, I am provided with a chance to manage the wine storage, menus and trainings. I want to become a professional bartender with strong and exceptional wine knowledge that not anyone could be!
Apart from FWS, I also finished the study of WSET LV3 in wines, Certified Specialist of Wine from SWE and SSI Sake. I choose FWS certainly because of its specialty, depth and uniqueness. As the only certification that emphasises on French wines, it provides the most authentic and approved expertise of French wines, that such CSW and WSET courses with broad knowledge in all wine regions can barely offer. It complemented not only the expertise but also my satisfaction and interest on this fascinating wine region. On the other hand, as French wines are the most impactful and sought-after wines, they are fairly easy to sell for considerable profits in high-end restaurants, that would be also benefiting my career path eventually.
I will be attending the IWS in December this year finishing in next year June then taking the SWS because I love the way WSG provides all the clearly explained learning materials. I am also planning to study CSS from SWE, and in the long-term, DipWSET!
