About Rudy:
I am a media professional. But I have always been fascinated by wines. How can fermented grapes produce such a wide range of aromas and tastes, from citrus fruits to sweet berries, grass, floral to smokiness? Not to mention the aroma and taste development of the wine after you have opened the bottle. I studied biology in university and I know there is more chemistry in wines than just chemical reaction!
I have acquired WSET Level 3 certificate for wines and spirits with merit in 2016. Since I love and drink French wines mostly, it is natural that I want to learn more about French wines. And the FWS program is just perfect for me to continue my journey in wine.
If I want to study another certification program, I would like to enroll in the Master-Level Programs (Champagne Master, Burgundy Master etc.) organized by WSG to further boost my knowledge in French wine. WSET Level 4 diploma could be another choice too.
The FWS program is very comprehensive about the wine regions in France, especially those regions that most people are not familiar with. And there is huge potential to import quality wines at a bargain price. If I ever want to become associated with wine trade and/or wine tourism I would definitely benefit from the program.
