Congratulations to Sandy Chen, FWS and student of AWSEC for passing successfully the French Wine Scholar exam with the highest honors!

About Sandy:

WSET Level 2: Pass with Distinction (May 2016)
WSET Level 3: Pass with Distinction (Sep 2016)

''I enjoyed taking a few sips of cocktail from time to time after work. I didn’t develop my true interest in wine until one time, that I followed a friend to the Bettane & Desseauve Wine Experience in Shanghai. It was there that the first time in my life I tasted so many different kinds of nice wine within one day. It has been such a fabulous experience that it triggered my hidden passion for wine from that day.  I decided to take some systematic courses to learn more about this amazing world. Since then I have taken WSET II, WSET III, FWS and just cannot stop it.

The FWS has offered much more in-depth learning materials which is a very good complement to WSET for my better understanding of French Wine. I plan to pursue WSET Level 4 next step. I think the solid and systematic study of FWS has laid a good foundation for me to prepare for WSET Level 4.

As a pure wine enthusiast, I study wine not only to build up my professional knowledge in this area, but rather, to explore, experience and enjoy the mysterious wonderland of wine. There have been lots of interesting sessions in FWS like the vinicultural history, food pairing etc. that I’ll definitely bring with myself along the interesting wine study journey.''
