About Sylvia:
"I am currently working in the field of wine as a Wine Stewart at Charles Smith Winery in Seattle. I am also just finishing up my degree in Wine Marketing and Sales from the Northwest Wine Academy at South Seattle Community College. I will be doing my internship in September at a beautiful little family owned winery in Lirac, France.
I loved the program at NWWA, especially under the guidance and tutelage of Regina Daigneault, an instructor and head of administration of NWWA at the time. In fact, Reggie was my instructor for the FWS program. With her vast knowledge of the subject and passion for wine, this class was an absolute joy.
My future goals are to move into the import/export segment of the wine industry. More specifically, I would like to export Washington wines into the Chinese market.
I truly appreciate and respect the FWS program and feel like it has complemented my wine studies at NWWA. Upon completion of this course, I feel like I have a much better handle on the beauty and complexity of French Wines.
I am also looking forward to taking the Italian Wine Course that FWS has to offer in the near future. The study of wine is a lifelong journey!! Cheers!!"
