About Ting-Liang
Ever since I worked at a winery in Barossa Valley for few months, I’ve been falling in love with wine, but the incident, which made me step into the wine industry, is after watching the famous documentary SOMM, which made me realize I could be that kind of guy of spending my entire life learning about wine. The philosophy I believe is that you learn more about wines, you are able to appreciate them more.
I passed WSET Level 3 Award in Wines in 2017, WSET level 3 help me to understand wines by analysing the nature factors affecting wine growing, in comparison, the FWS program made me more focused on cultural and historical factors which affect each French wine region, such as how did the rulers influence the wine development, which fascinated me the most and could be great materials while introducing wines to customers.
I’m planning to enroll introductory and certified sommelier exam in Court of Master Sommeliers/CMS in near future, FWS program could make it easier while studying sections related to French wine for CMS exam.
FWS program could be a huge help for my further wine related education, a habit I acquired while preparing for the FWS exam is that always finding multiple effective methods to memorize various information on wine regions.
