About Victor:
I’m Victor, Brazilian born and raised with an immeasurable passion for wine and hospitality. My career started during high school when I got my first restaurant job. That led me to get a university degree in hospitality management where my passion for wine began. Fast forward a few years, I moved to Toronto in pursuit of a restaurant management diploma. Now, I have left the restaurant industry and into the wine industry in Niagara, ON, where my roots grew stronger.
To date, I have successfully completed the WSET 3 program, the wine business management program at Brock University and recently became a certified sommelier. The FWS program was absolutely key to the success on these programs. If I haven’t taken FWS, the Certified Sommelier would have been incredibly more challenging than it already is. Now, I am excited to embark into the IWS and SWS to fill my back pockets with even more in-depth knowledge. My next goals are Certified Wine Educator and eventually WSET Diploma.
As an educator, it is imperative that I have the accurate knowledge and history of classic wine growing countries. In the tasting room, I am always teaching and comparing our small wine region with more classic examples. The FWS allows me to take my guests through a journey into the hills of Burgundy and the rivers or the Loire without leaving their seat.
