Congratulations to Vladimir Turetsky, FWS, for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with highest honors!

About Vladimir:

Even though I still work as mechanical engineer I am wine enthusiast who developed passion for wine over the years. I am interested in wine tasting, viticulture, history and every aspect related to wine. I hope one day to apply my knowledge and love for wine in the wine industry.

I have completed WSET level 2 and level 3. I have passed both levels with Distinction. I am very proud that for the level 3 I have received Jack Ackroyd Memorial Scholarship in recognition of the top-achieving student of the WSET.
The FWS is amazing program with very broad and detailed approach. It helped me to understand and appreciate French wines and to be able to identify what is in the bottle only by looking at it and reading the label. I liked facts from French history and traditions. I also enjoy consulting my friends, family and co-workers. My last wine tasting event included 50% of French wines!

I am thinking to have my own blog soon. I have already name for it ‘Smart Wine Lover’. The knowledge from the FWS will be very helpful. I will also participate to a seminar ‘Importing Wine, Beer & Spirits for Pleasure and Profit’ and may consider to participate in importing wine or help to existing agency in near future.
