Congratulations to Mari Osada, IWS, for passing the Italian Wine Scholar exam with highest honors!

About Mari:

I started my wine journey 5 years ago. Back then, I never imagined I would have developed a passion for wine and achieved this far. 5 years later, I am WSET L3, FWS, SWS, and completed IWS, all with highest honours!

Wine Scholar Guild Programs helped me continue my study after I moved from Toronto, Canada to Hong Kong. With the remote learning program, I could log on to tune into Webinars at my convenience and the teacher was there at the student forum to answer questions. IWS was definitely the hardest for me amongst the three Wine Scholar Guild programs. Thanks to the insightful and informative classes and the detailed answers from the teacher online, I was able to do well in the exams! Now with the title and newly gained confidence in wine knowledge, I am hoping to spread the joy and the charm of the Italian wines.

Additionally, I also have a passion and a vision to introduce Japan Wine to the world. The history of Japan Wine is still short but with the Japanese mind of high sense of production and unique terroirs all over Japan, I believe strongly that there is a potential for the future of Japan Wine. I would love to be a part of the growing awareness of Japan Wine by working as a bridge between Japan and other parts of the world
