About Mauro:
I have been working with wine professionally since 2017 when I got my Sommelier Certificate at Scandinavian Wine Academy, which is where I work today as an Educator. It all began when I started working at The Winery Hotel where I was able to use my knowledge on an everyday basis and on top of that I had the opportunity to assist the winemaker on how to make wine in Sweden. With further knowledge I was sent to Tuscany, Greve in Chianti and South Africa, Elgin in the same year for the harvest and had an amazing experience where I could connect my theory and practical skills together.
I have accomplished the Sommelier Certificate Program at the Scandinavian Wine Academy. To continue my studies I applied for WSET LVL 3 Award in Wines and in Sake. I still felt that something was missing, I live in Sweden but my heart and soul is connected to Italy so Italian Wine Scholar was the perfect education to get a deeper knowledge and have a specialization. Today I am proud to say that I passed IWS with highest honor.
