About Chris:
I am a hybrid between a wine professional and enthusiast. I have been very active in wine education over the past 20 years and have produced, marketed and sold my own wine. I am also a long-time wine collector.
I have a CSW from the Society of Wine educators, a FWS from Wine Scholar Guild and many other small certifications from shorter programs.
I decided to take the Spanish Wine Scholar program after completing the FWS program. I really enjoyed both the content and instruction of the Wine Scholar Guild versus other programs (WSET for example). I am currently enrolled in the Italian Wine Scholar program and look forward to that experience.
I have traveled extensively around the world and its wine regions. I’ve been to Barcelona but never really explored Spain. I love the food and culture and now understand the country and its wine better. Spanish wine is undermarketed and I’ll do my best to help fix that through my wine activities.
