About Emily:
I am an avid wine enthusiast and collector with a desire for deeper understanding of how beautiful wines made it into their bottles.
Many years ago, I worked as a Fille Au Pair near Chateauneuf du Pape, which gave me a taste of how fine wine could be. As life took me around the globe, I've sought to match equally fine wines with the world's exciting cuisines. One day I hope to be able to share my knowledge through events and Masterclasses.
The SWS online course was a fantastic introduction to the WSG format. It enticed me to enrol in IWS 1 and 2 and I hope to complete FWS by Spring 2022.
I passed WSET2 and WSET3 with Merit. I've completed 5 out of the 6 WSET4 Diploma units and am awaiting a quarantine - free world so I can travel to take the D3 exam. After that I'm hoping to pass CWS qualifications and share the wonderful world of wine with budding enthusiasts.
The SWS was one of the best organised and presented wine courses I've experienced. I've been to Spain, attended several Masterclasses and studied Spanish wines before but never felt confident. This course brought my understanding to a new level. It also deepened my appreciation for the many marvelous wines Spain has to offer. Now, I cannot get enough Spanish wine!!
