Congratulations to Max Branco Rossmark Schramm, SWS, for achieving highest honors in the Spanish Wine Scholar exam with Celebrare, Brazil.

About Max:

I am 26 years old and I’m a Civil Engineer. I ended up in the alcoholic beverages’ world through beer. My brother (Thomas) and I started homebrewing and I also took some courses related to that. Some years ago, I really started liking wine and, together with my brother, started taking courses about wine. I fell in love with it. So we both decided we needed to take it seriously: we studied more and started a profile about alcoholic beverages, mainly wine, but also beer, cocktails and spirits. This profile in Instagram is @silenusetilica. And now we have started providing services related to that, like wine lists for restaurants and events for people.

I started with the WSET courses, reaching Level 3 in wines. After that I decided I needed to learn more about the famous countries, like France, Italy, Spain, Germany, USA, and so on. So, I found out about WSG and the courses the institution provides. My brother and I started with the FWS program and now we both took the SWS course and passed. Having done the SWS increases my knowledge of the wine world and helps in the goal of learning even more about the subject.

Not only can I say that I like Spanish Wine more now, but I also believe it makes me want to push my studies even further! Knowing about wine and the countries/regions that produce it is amazing. It is not only about the wine itself, but the culture around it. I just love it and will keep pursuing more! Probably going for the IWS next!
